Frequently Asked Questions

What’s included in a Santorini sunset cruise?

The Santorini Sunset Cruise includes a selection of appetizers, a main meal, and desserts, along with an open bar featuring local wine, beers, soft drinks, and Prosecco. Guests also have access to snorkeling gear, safety equipment, and towels, with convenient hotel pick-up and drop-off provided in a luxury air-conditioned minibus.

What’s the difference between a Santorini Star sunset cruise and a daytime cruise?

A Santorini day cruise and a sunset cruise each have their own unique appeal. If you want to explore the Aegean Sea and enjoy snorkeling, a morning or daytime cruise from 10:00 to 15:00 is ideal. The sunset cruise, running from 15:00 until after sunset, offers breathtaking views of the iconic Santorini sunset, making it an unforgettable experience.

What should I bring on a Santorini sunset boat tour?

Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit for a refreshing dip in the Aegean waters, sunscreen to protect your skin from the strong sun, even in the afternoon, and a light jacket for the gentle sea breeze. Also, bring a phone or camera to capture the breathtaking views and magical sunset, and of course, bring your smile!

Is food on the sunset cruise good? Are there vegetarian or gluten-free options?

Our onboard dining is designed to satisfy every guest. We offer a wide variety of dishes, including meat and seafood options, as well as vegetarian and gluten-free choices. This way, everyone can relax and fully enjoy their meal while taking in the stunning Santorini sunset.

Are Santorini Star sunset catamaran cruises crowded, or is there enough space?

Our Lagoon 45 and Lagoon 46 catamarans can hold up to 28 guests, but we limit sunset cruises to 18 people to ensure a comfortable, relaxing experience. This way, you can fully enjoy the scenery and unwind without feeling crowded.

Is the cruise safe and enjoyable if I don’t know how to swim?

Absolutely! A Santorini Star cruise is safe and enjoyable for everyone, even if you don’t swim. Relax on deck with a drink, take in the stunning caldera views, or enjoy a swim with life jackets provided. With our experienced crew on board, the cruise offers a magical experience for all.

Which is better, a semi-private cruise or a private cruise?

Based on guest feedback, our semi-private cruises are very popular for their relaxed, social atmosphere. For special occasions like birthdays, proposals, or weddings, we recommend a private cruise, which can be fully tailored with personalized decorations and an exclusive setting for an unforgettable celebration.

How early should I book my catamaran cruise in Santorini?

It’s best to book 7–14 days in advance. If you’re visiting in July or August, booking even earlier is highly recommended. Early booking not only secures your place on one of our popular tours but may also come with special discounts, making it a win-win.

Is hotel pick-up included, or do guests meet at the port?

Pick-up and return to your hotel (or another preferred meeting point) is included in the price for your convenience. If you prefer, you can also choose to meet us directly at the port instead.

What happens if it’s windy or bad weather — are cruises cancelled?

If the port authority issues a restriction, cruises are cancelled and all payments are fully refunded. Even without an official restriction, we are flexible and you can reschedule your cruise to another day, subject to availability, so you can enjoy the trip in the best possible conditions.

Are Santorini Star daytime or sunset cruises suitable for families and children?

Yes! Our sunset cruises welcome all ages. The catamarans offer plenty of space, comfortable seating, and cabins for added convenience when needed, making them a relaxing and family-friendly experience for everyone on board.
